Ferrari unveil their first hybrid car at Geneva Motor Show
Ferrari have lifted the lid on their hybrid car the LaFerrari
The limited edition car uses
technology similar to F1's KERS system, which recovers the energy found
in the waste heat created by a car's braking.
Only 499 models of the 217 miles per hour car have been built, and all have been sold for around an estimated price tag of £1 million.
Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo said: "This is a truly extraordinary car which encompasses advanced solutions that, in the future, will find their way onto the rest of the range.
"It represents the benchmark for the entire automotive industry."
